Where is VERVE located?
VERVE Ann Arbor is situated perfectly between Ross School of Business and Greek Row, making your walk from class to chapter meetings a breeze.
What floor plans are available?
We have a wide variety of floor plans, from Studio, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom, 4 bedroom, 5 bedroom, and 6 bedrooms. Ask us about double occupancy options as well!
When is the move-in date?
Our exclusive white-glove service ensures a seamless transition to UMich. Professional movers will handle all the heavy lifting, allowing you to focus on exploring your new campus and getting settled. Enjoy the convenience of a two-day move-in window, August 7-8, 2025, and start your UMich adventure on the right foot. Plus, our early move-in date gives you a chance to get involved on campus before classes even begin.
How do I schedule a tour?
Our temporary leasing office is located directly off The Diag at 340 S. State Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Drop by during our office hours to tour, or schedule an appointment on our website through the contact submission form.
I’m ready to sign my lease at VERVE – what should I do?
The entire leasing process can be done online through our website by starting an application! Once both the primary and guarantors finish the application, the leasing team will send over the lease for signatures. Alternatively, you can stop by the leasing office to go through the steps in person.
What is an individual lease?
An individual lease is a by-the-bed lease, which means you are only responsible for the bedroom space you are assigned to and have a shared responsibility for common areas with your roommates. This also includes rental installments – so no worrying about if your roommates are late on payments!
Do you offer a roommate matching service if I don’t bring my own roommates?
Yes! VERVE has a roommate matching program. During the application process, you’ll fill out a roommate profile questionnaire which allows us to match you with roommates who have similar interests. Additionally, we’ve programmed with RoomSync, an app allowing you to create a profile so you can swipe on potential roommates!
What is a rental installment?
Rental installment refers to the contract total price, divided equally 12 times for convenience. Your first installment will be due August 1 and your last installment is due July 1 unless you’ve elected to renew at VERVE. Helpful Hint: because we’ve divided the rental installments equally 12 times, August’s rental payment is not prorated!
When are installment payments due and how do I pay them?
All installment payments are due on the 1st of each month. You have multiple options for payment – ACH, debit/credit, and e-check on the resident portal.
Is renter’s insurance required? Does VERVE offer renter’s insurance?
Each resident is responsible for having an active liability insurance policy. Typically, you can be covered under your parents’ insurance policies, or you can enroll through the resident portal and add a small fee to your monthly cost to be covered under VERVE’s policy.
What is a guarantor and what if I do not have one?
A guarantor is a third party signer who can ensure your payments will be paid in a timely manner. If you don’t have a guarantor, we have alternative options to assist you with having your application approved – contact the office to learn more about our options.
I’m an international student – what documentation do I need to provide?
International students will need to provide a copy of their student visa in the application. In lieu of the guarantor requirements, you may opt to prepay your last two installments of the lease prior to move-in.
Are the washer & dryer in the unit?
Yes! All units will have their own washer & dryer.
What are VIP units at VERVE? Where are they located?
VIP units are located on the top residential floor (12th floor) which offers restricted access. In addition to this, the VIP units also offer the following amenities:

Is VERVE pet friendly?
Absolutely, we love our furry residents! We even have a dog park for ruff play! Restrictions may apply, so give us a call or stop by the office for more information.
Will there be maintenance on site? How will I submit a work order?
VERVE will have a maintenance team on site during business hours, and on-call maintenance for after hours needs. To submit a maintenance request, log into the resident portal and click the ‘request maintenance’ button or give us a call in the office and we will submit a request on your behalf.
